The IQ QS5130-840 Smoke and Heat Detector is the latest smoke and heat detector from IQ, and introduces some new quality of life features!

Dirt sensor that will indicate when the sensor needs to be cleaned.
Improved filter that better differentiates smoke from other particles to reduce false alarms.

Dirt Sensor

The QS5130-840 features a dirt sensor, enabling you to differentiate between when it is time to clean the sensor, and when it is time to replace the batteries.

When the sensor is dirty and needs to be cleaned, the yellow LED will flash 4 times every 48 seconds. To clean, use the soft bristle brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and cobwebs from the side slots where the smoke enters.
