Text Message Alarm Notifications

Brinks Home™ offers text message alarm notifications for burglar alarms, allowing you to quickly and easily respond to alarms whether you need emergency assistance or if it's a false alarm.


How It Works

  • Instant Alerts: When an alarm is triggered, primary contacts receive a text message asking whether to cancel the alarm (reply "No") or request emergency services (reply "Yes").
  • No Response: If no response is received within 60 seconds, we will follow standard procedures and contact your emergency contacts, starting with the primary contacts.
  • Multiple Responses: If one primary contact cancels the alarm and another requests dispatch, emergency services will always be sent to ensure your safety.

Note: There is no cost from Brinks Home™ to use this feature. However, standard text messaging rates may apply based on your mobile provider.


Managing Notifications

  • Opting Out: Primary contacts are automatically opted in to receive text message alarm notifications. You can opt out at any time via the Brinks Home™ Customer Portal or Mobile App.
